MSU graduates nearly 800 in winter commencement

Murray State University held its winter commencement ceremonies on Saturday in the CFSB Center.

A total of 787 graduates from 28 states and 14 countries were conferred degrees and credentials.

They included 515 bachelors degrees, 225 masters and 13 doctorates.

Nine graduates came from an MSU regional campus. Forty-three nurses were pinned, and one cadet was commissioned.

First-generation graduates totaled 191.

Forty-one percent of the graduating class came from MSU's 18-county service region of western Kentucky, while 11 percent were international students.
