Kirksey woman arrested near storage facility on drug charge 

A Kirksey woman was arrested early Tuesday morning and faces a drug charge.

A Murray Police officer reportedly noticed a pair of individuals near a storage unit while on patrol just after midnight Tuesday. The officer approached the individuals and allegedly found 53-year-old Brenda Sanders of Kirksey in possession of illegal drugs.

Sanders was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
