Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky State Police recently recognized 31 troopers and officers who have been promoted into leadership roles since Nov. 1, 2021, including four at Post 1 in Mayfield. 

Lieutenant James H. Green III was promoted to captain and has been assigned to the Internal Affairs Branch.

Officer Robert B. Andrus was promoted to the rank of sergeant and is assigned to the Drivers Testing Branch.

Trooper Aaron P. Jestes was also promoted to sergeant and is assigned to Post 1 in Mayfield.

Trooper Justin M. Rundles was promoted to sergeant and is assigned to the Academy Branch.

Post 1 Commander David Archer said, "These gentleman will prove invaluable to our agency as we move into the future. Their combined accomplishments and years of service will ensure our agency's traditions of excellence and service to the public will continue."

During the ceremony, KSP Commissioner Phillip Burnett, Jr. encouraged the recently promoted leaders to continue leading by example, putting integrity and honesty first and making Kentucky's safety the utmost priority.
