The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is monitoring this afternoon's light snowfall.
Reports from the National Weather Service in Paducah show western Kentucky counties could see snow accumulations ranging from a dusting to one-half inch. Snowfall should taper off by about 5 pm.
With temperatures at freezing this afternoon and falling into the evening, snow could stick to some road surfaces, especially bridges and overpasses.
Livingston County salt trucks are out on patrol treating bridges and overpasses.
Supervisors in other counties are monitoring conditions and prepared to call in crews as needed.
Motorists are advised to slow down and use appropriate caution during overnight travel and on the morning commute Tuesday.
