West Paducah man jailed on drug/theft charges

A McCracken County man was arrested last week following a traffic stop and was charged with numerous offenses.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department conducted the stop in the 7200 block of Cairo Road.  During a roadside investigation, detectives learned the driver, 49-year-old Larry D. Henderson of West Paducah, was operating the vehicle on a suspended license and had a warrant for his arrest.

When the vehicle was searched, marijuana along with several items believed to have been stolen from local retailers was discovered.  The items had a value of $3,000.

Henderson admitted to taking the items and while being taken to the McCracken County Jail, he attempted to discard a baggy of methamphetamine that was hidden on his person.

Henderson remains lodged on the charges.
