An Eddyville woman is facing a second felony charge of perjury within a year following her arrest last week.

WPKY reported 47-year-old Tamara Gipson was taken into custody by Lyon County Sheriff Brent White on a Lyon County District Court complaint warrant charging her with forgery.

Gipson is accused of committing perjury during a juvenile court hearing when she testified to material false statements about a plea hearing which happened in a related Lyon Circuit Court case after being first sworn in and given a warning about perjury by a District Court judge.

White said it's the second perjury charge against Gipson in the last year.  She was indicted by a Lyon County grand jury for an unrelated offense of first degree perjury in December of last year.  Gipson was convicted of the crime in August.

Gipson was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
