KSP investigating August sexual assault in Land Between the Lakes

Kentucky State Police are investigating a sexual assault that reportedly took place in the Smith Bay of Kentucky Lake on August 30.

Police said they received a report on August 31 of a sexual assault that had occurred the night before. An adult female was found unconscious on the bank of Kentucky Lake in the area of Smith Bay. The victim refused medical treatment that night, but later reported to a hospital on August 31st with injuries consistent with sexual assault. 

KSP said they are aware of a glow party that was hosted in Smith Bay the night of the assault. The victim reported having been in attendance of the party prior to her loss of consciousness.
