Hickman man jailed on numerous charges

A Hickman man was arrested last Tuesday on several drug and weapons charges.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Department said Maurice Thorpe was arrested following an investigation of illegal drug trafficking.  

Thorpe was charged with multiple drug trafficking offenses and handgun offenses.  

A search of Thorpe's home allegedly netted crack cocaine, two handguns, one of which was reported stolen from out of state, along with an undisclosed sum of cash.
