An Australia-based food company has chosen western Kentucky for a new facility that will employ more than 900 people, Gov. Andy Beshear said Thursday.
Kitchen Food Company, a maker of premium ready-made meals, will locate a prepared foods facility in Hopkinsville and create 925 jobs as part of its $69 million investment.
The company will move into the 100,000-square-foot spec building constructed at Frank Yost Lane, where renovations are expected to begin in early 2025. The facility is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.
The Hopkinsville facility will be its first operation in the United States.
The 925 jobs will include positions for operations, production managers, human resources managers, accountants, technical managers, engineers, supervisors, machine operators, forklift drivers, and process and warehouse operatives.
