Child abuse investigation leads to Gilbertsville arrests

An investigation into child abuse allegations led to the arrests of a pair of Gilbertsville residents on Monday.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office investigated the allegations leveled at 34-year-old Jewel Blake and 34-year-old Jordan Blake of Gilbertsville. Findings from that investigation were presented to the Grand Jury and they returned indictments against the couple. The Blakes were arrested by deputies on Monday.

The two were charged with 1st degree criminal abuse. Jewel Blake was additionally charged with 1st degree strangulation.
