A Graves County woman has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery of a Dollar General on New Year's Eve.
Dollar General employees called the Graves County Sheriff's Office just before 10 p.m. on December 31st and reported that an older woman had come into the store with a pistol and demanded money. They said she was wearing a partial mask and left the store on foot.
Detectives released surveillance images of the suspect. The results of their continued investigation of electronic records came back Thursday and led to 61-year-old Ruby May Turner of Mayfield as the suspect.
A search warrant was served on Turner's Jimtown Road home. Turner was arrested and detectives allegedly located the weapon used in the robbery at a secondary location.
Turner is charged with first-degree armed robbery and faces a potential penalty of 10 to 20 years in prison.
