A wanted Graves County man who was on the run from charges of sexually abusing a child was captured Thursday in west Tennessee.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office said 47-year-old Brian W. Readenour was taken into custody after a tip that he had been seen in Union City. Detectives went there and were able to positively identify Readenour in a vehicle. Union City Police helped to box in the vehicle and arrest Readenour.
The suspect waived extradition and was transported back to the Graves County Sheriff's Office late Thursday afternoon.
Readenour had been charged with sexual abuse and sodomy of a child. He had been convicted twice before on sex-related charges, including a 2016 conviction on charges of rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse of a 13-year-old. Additional charges related to his flight from justice are pending.
Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden said that there will also be charges coming for individuals who have been helping Readenour avoid capture.
Readenour had been recently seen in images from hidden game cameras near deer camps in the area of Murphy's Pond in the St. Denis community of Hickman County.
