Crash near Hazel sends one person to hospital

A crash in Calloway County near Hazel on Friday sent one person to the hospital.

The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. Friday near US 641 and E.W. Miller Street. Calloway County Sheriff's Deputies and Calloway County Fire Rescue located the vehicle overturned off the side of the road.

The driver was trapped inside. fire personnel used the jaws of life to remove the driver.

The driver was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital, then flown to an out-of-state hospital.
