Body of Ft. Campbell soldier recovered from Kentucky Lake

The body of a Ft. Campbell soldier was recovered from Kentucky Lake early Friday evening.

According to the Henry County Sheriff's Department, the body of 22-year-old John Michael Jackson, was found by officers from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency at approximately 6:15 pm.

The Sheriff's Department had started an investigation Wednesday when Jackson's vehicle was found abandoned on the crest of the Paris Landing bridge.

Because of personal belongings that were left in the vehicle, officers believed that he had jumped from the bridge.

Due to inclement weather on Friday, the search and recovery efforts had been limited.
