Five people arrested on variety of drug charges

Five people were arrested Wednesday and Thursday on a number of drug related charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said 38 year old Jerry Purvis of Paducah was arrested at a Benton Road residence Wednesday.

Investigators said Purvis had three other outstanding warrants and was also charged with possession of methamphetamine after it was found on his person.

Also on Wednesday, a traffic stop in the area of Bridge Street led to the arrest of 32-year-old Leighann Boyd of Paducah.  

She was charged after meth, a digital scale and baggies were found in her vehicle.

Thirty seven year old Michael C. Brewer of Princeton was arrested on a charge in trafficking in methamphetamine after detective learned he was enroute to McCracken County to make a meth sale.

He was found to be in possession of 19.1 grams of meth and a digital scale when apprehended.

Thursday, a search warrant was executed at a Lacket Street residence, where deputies found 18.8 grams of meth, suboxone strips marijuana and other drug paraphenlia.

35 year old Anthony A. Adkins and 53 year old Debra K. Purvis, both of Paducah, were taken into custody.

All five were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
