Two men were arrested in Ledbetter on Tuesday after they fled from police.

A Livingston County Sheriff’s deputy tried to stop a vehicle just after 8:20 p.m. Tuesday that was driven by 22-year-old Jesus Rodriguez. Deputies determined that the registration on his vehicle had been canceled. Rodriguez did not stop and continued to a home on Loretta Drive, where he took off on foot.

While one deputy pursued Rodriguez, another man at the home, 35-year-old Francisco Jesus Angulo Mendez, also took off on foot. Mendez was also pursued, and he refused to obey commands from the deputy. Both men were eventually captured.

Rodriguez was charged with fleeing or evading police, having no registration, no license, and no insurance. Mendez was charged with marijuana possession and fleeing or evading. Both were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
