Hopkinsville pursuit leads to arrests in Wednesday robbery

A robbery in Hopkinsville on Wednesday led to a pursuit and suspects being detained.

Hopkinsville Police were alerted to the robbery on Jan Drive just before 11:15 a.m. Officers on the scene were able to get descriptions of the suspects and the vehicle they were driving. Just after 11:35 a.m., the city’s Flock cameras detected the vehicle. Police caught up to it, but the suspects refused to stop. Officers and Christian County Sheriff’s deputies tried to end the pursuit with spike strips, but those were unsuccessful.  

Finally, deputies were able to utilize a PIT maneuver to end it near Gospel Peace Road and Butler Road. The suspects were not injured and were detained. The vehicle, meanwhile, caught fire. Highland Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene to put that fire out.

Police have not released any other information on the case. The investigation, though, is continuing.
