Comprehensive plan for Paducah, McCracken County gets first reading at joint meeting

During a joint meeting Monday afternoon, McCracken Fiscal Court and Paducah's Board of Commissioners heard the first reading of an ordinance adopting a comprehensive plan for the city and county.

The plan covers several key areas which include: growth capacity, land use and community character, housing and neighborhoods, transportation, economic development, recreation and amenities.

Paducah commissioners will vote to approve the measure during Tuesday night's meeting, while the county's Fiscal Court will vote on approving the measure during its meeting February 17.
