Arrest made in February burglary case in Hazel

An arrest was made on Tuesday in the case of a gas station burglary in Hazel from February.

The burglary of the Check Mart in Hazel took place on February 8th. Surveillance video reportedly showed individuals forcing their way into the store and taking cash, vape pens, and other items. A similar crime took place in Henry County, Tennessee. Deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff's Office working with Henry County deputies identified suspects in the burglaries in both jurisdictions. 

On Tuesday, one of the suspects, 23-year-old Kelly Richardson of Buchanan, Tennessee, was located and arrested. Richardson is charged with 3rd-degree burglary.

The investigation is continuing.
