West Kentucky Allied Services is hoping to bring some Christmas to our experienced neighbors through their Santa for Seniors program.
Santa for Seniors is an initiative partnering with Meals on Wheels to make the holidays a little brighter. Given that some of those seniors are primarily homebound, they are looking for donations of personal care items, items for around the house, and some special individual items. Items they suggest include:
**Personal Care Items:** Oral hygiene products, shaving kits, nail polish, lip balm, lotion, soap, shampoo
**Household Essentials:** Blankets, bath towels, washcloths, dish towels, dishcloths, dish washing liquid, laundry detergent, Clorox/Lysol wipes, toilet tissue, paper towels
**Special Touches:** Christmas stockings, postage stamps, batteries, hard candies
West Kentucky Allied Services said that each person who donates is making a difference in someone’s life, and reminding them they haven’t been forgotten.
Donated items must be dropped off by December 15th at any West Kentucky Allied Services location in McCracken, Marshall, Graves, Calloway, Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman, and Fulton Counties. They can also be dropped off at the Murray/Calloway Senior Center or the Mayfield/Graves Senior Center.
