Two people were charged with drug offenses following the execution of a search warrant at a home in the Poole community of Webster County on Friday.

The Webster County Sheriff's Department reports that the warrant was served just before 5:30 pm, and the suspects, David Fruit and Christina Riggs were seen outside the home when law enforcement arrived on the scene.

Riggs immediately fled into the home and shut the door, but both Fruit and Riggs were taken into custody without incident.

During the search, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and cash was allegedly found.

Fruit and Riggs were taken to the Webster County Detention Center, charged with drug offenses, and Riggs was also charged with fleeing or evading police.
