A threat in a voicemail led three schools in Hopkinsville to be put on high alert Tuesday morning.
The threat was reportedly directed toward Hopkinsville High School and Indian Hills Elementary and both schools were put on high alert.
Hopkinsville Police were notified, as well, and are continuing to investigate. District spokeswoman Johnna Brown told WKDZ that it appears the threat was from outside the area and is a "swatting" incident.
Hopkinsville Police said they found nothing suspicious or out of place, but they continue to investigate.
Following the initial threat, police said a suspicious call was received by a Hopkinsville Middle School student. Nothing suspicious was found there, either, but that school also went on high alert.
