New bridge construction on Lakeview Church Road in Marshall County starts Monday

Following a brief delay in the project, KY 2595/Lakeview Church Road in Marshall County will be closed starting Monday to allow for construction of a new bridge.

The project, located west of the Kentucky Dam Marina, is expected to be completed by the end of August. 

The existing bridge, one of the last full timber structures remaining in western Kentucky, is currently posted with a 3-ton weight limit.

Motorists can use US 641 and KY 1422, which adds about 11 miles to the trip.
