A wanted Paducah man is facing multiple felony charges after two people were arrested in McCracken County on Monday in connection with a stolen vehicle from Murray.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the area of Cairo Road and Jacob Lane after a stolen vehicle was detected by the county’s integrated license plate reader network. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Murray earlier that morning.
Authorities found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. There were two people inside the vehicle, 18-year-old Tistan Atkins and a 15-year-old female juvenile who was driving the vehicle. Deputies said both surrendered without incident.
Deputies reportedly found a handgun, marijuana, and additional evidence allegedly connecting the pair to other crimes in two other counties across Kentucky. The Sheriff’s Office is currently coordinating with outside agencies in these cases.
Atkins was charged with receiving stolen property, unlawful transaction with a minor, firearm enhanced possession of marijuana, and menacing.
Deputies also said Atkins had outstanding felony warrants from Fayette County for robbery and theft.
