Two people arrested on meth charges in Murray

Two people were arrested Wednesday on drug charges following a traffic stop in Murray.

Deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Robert L. Davis of New Concord at about 4 p.m. on Poplar Street. During the stop and roadside investigation, the two occupants of the vehicle were believed to have drugs in their possession.

Davis and his passenger, 43-year-old Melanie D. Ball of Buchannan, Tennessee were both charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. They were taken to the Calloway County Jail.
