Paducah police arrest New York pair after stolen vehicle, plate found

Two New York residents were arrested Sunday after Paducah Police received a stolen license plate alert through the Flock Safety Camera System.

Officers said the vehicle was located at a gas station on Wayne Sullivan Drive. The plate was registered to a 2011 model vehilce, but it was actually mounted on a 2017 vehicle.  Both the license plate and vehicle had been reported stolen in South Carlina.

Inside the vehicle, officers located a pipe used to smoke cocaine, two containers with suspected cocaine and needles.

Police arrested 45-year-old Joseph D. Horton and 46-year-old Rebecca L. Boyer. They were charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possessing/operating on a suspended license.

Both were lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center.
