The potential is not nearly as great as the past weekend, but there will be a marginal risk for severe storms on Wednesday.
Damaging wind and unstable atmosphere could allow isolated spinup tornadoes to be a threat, mainly east of the Mississippi River.
Extremely strong winds with gusts of 35-50 mph are expected on Wednesday. In southeast Missouri where extremely dry conditions still exist, the strong winds will lead to quick spread of any fires through the day and into the evening.
Temperatures will fall again behind the storm front, then a warming weekend will contain another chance for thunderstorms.
