Two Lexington men were arrested during a drug investigation Thursday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office was conducting surveilance in the 2900 block of Husbands Road after learning the men were coming to a hotel with intentions of selling Fentanyl pills.

A vehicle stopped at a nearby gas station where 26-year-old Renato Benites was spotted walking toward the hotel.

He was arrested after a brief struggle and detectives located nearly 250 suspected Fentanyl pills concealed in his pant leg.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Kelvin Sawieh was arrested after the investigation revealed he conspired with Benites to traffic in Fentanyl and drive him to Paducah.

A search of the vehicle found marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia.

A third person in the vehicle, 33-year-old Rio D. Brown, was cited to court for drug posession and released.

Benites and Sawieh were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
