In a 6-1 vote Monday night, Trigg Fiscal Court exercised its right to deny medical cannbis accomodation to any current and future employees.

According to WKDZ, the resolution stated Trigg Fiscal Court and its arms of operation would remain a drug and alcohol free workplace, where a susbstance abuse policy set forth by the Trigg County Administrative Code will remain in full force and effect as written.

While medical cannabis legally went into effect across Kentucky January 1st, municipalities, pursuant to state statute, possess the ability to restrict and prohibit its use before, during, and after scheduled working hours.
