A fire burned ten acres of forest in Trigg County on Monday, as well as a vacant mobile home.
The fire along Old Dover Road south of Cadiz was fought by several local fire departments and the Kentucky Department of Forestry.
WKDZ reported that there were no injuries, and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
Officials remind everyone that Kentucky's spring fire season began last week through April 30. It's a time of warming temperatures and lots of dead vegetation drying out in the sunshine.
During this time, state law makes it illegal for anyone to start a fire within 150 feet of any woods or brush line between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm. After 6 pm, a fire should only be started if the conditions are suitable to keep it under control.
Gusty winds will return on Wednesday that will only increase chances of any fires getting out of control.
