Traveling veterinarian arrested for sexual assault in Florida, also wanted in Murray

A traveling veterinarian arrested in Florida for the sexual assault of a juvenile is now accused of assaulting a juvenile in Murray.

Murray Police said they were contacted by the FBI after 53-year-old Gregory Ford of Houston was arrested for the sexual assault of a 16 or 17-year-old girl in Marion County, Florida, because their investigation had identified another victim in Murray. Detectives in Murray did their own investigation and found that Ford had traveled through Murray on several occasions in 2024. They found that during one of his trips, Ford allegedly sexually assaulted a juvenile.

Murray Police obtained an arrest warrant for Ford, charging him with rape and sodomy. He is currently in custody in Marion County, Florida, and the Commonwealth will seek to have him extradited back to Calloway County to face those charges.

Murray Police believe there could be other victims, and they, along with the FBI, are asking for any information about encounters with Ford.
