A traffic stop for a moving violation turned into a bust of alleged drug traffickers in Murray Thursday.
Deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Dorian J. Rudolph of Louisville as it traveled along North 12th Street near Diuguid Drive. A search of the vehicle is said to have uncovered 47 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 13.5 grams of marijuana. Rudolph and his passenger, 22-year-old Sedez D. Rudolph of Jeffersonville, Indiana also allegedly had $563 in cash plus digital scales, baggies, and other trafficking materials.
Deputies reportedly even found a loaded handgun stashed under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment. Dorian J. Rudolph is not allowed to possess a weapon as he is a convicted felon. He was recently paroled after serving time for convictions for assault, burglary, robbery, and trafficking in cocaine out of Jefferson County.
Both men were arrested and charged with firearm-enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Dorian J. Rudolph was additionally charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
