Drug, bail jumping charges for McCracken County man

A McCracken County man was arrested on drug-related charges during a Wednesday night traffic stop.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said a check on 56-year-old Ronnie Churchwell on Reed Road showed outstanding warrants out of McCracken County for bail jumping.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies found marijuana and crystal methamphetamine in the vehicle. They also reportedly found and a large amount of money, believed to be proceeds of illicit drug sales, on Churchwell's person.

Churchwell was charged with trafficking in meth and possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, several traffic offenses and the bail jumping warrant,

Churchwell was out on bond for felon in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest.
