US 45 at I-69 in Mayfield open after new cars knocked off hauler

US 45 reopened Thursday at Interstate 69 near Mayfield after an accident involving a car hauler loaded with new cars.

The roadway was blocked after several vehicles on top of a car-hauler were too tall for the overpass. At least one car was knocked off the truck and left dangling off of the side of the hauler.

The southbound lanes were blocked for more than 2 hours to clear the scene.

Other than damage to a vehicle, no injuries were reported.
