A tip led to the arrest of several people Tuesday including a wanted Mayfield woman.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office said deputies were following up on a tip concerning the whereabouts of 50-year-old Machelle D. Sanderson, who was wanted on outstanding warrants for passing counterfeit money at a Graves County business.
Deputies were given an address on Cherry Drive as a possible location for Sanderson. The Sheriff's Office said they also received information that illegal drug activity was occurring at that location.
Following serving a search warrant just before 8 am, deputies initially found two men in an outbuilding at the residence. The two men were identified as 50-year-old David R. Davenport and 39-year-old Marc P. Zacchini, both of Mayfield.
A few minutes later they also found Sanderson hidden in the outbuilding. Deputies said a struggle ensued with Sanderson before she could be taken into custody.
While searching the outbuilding deputies allegedly found a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, numerous plastic baggies containing crystal methamphetamine, scales, marijuana, glass methamphetamine smoking pipes, pills, and other items.
Sanderson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. She was also served with a felony arrest warrant charging her with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Davenport was charged with possession of methamphetamine, hindering prosecution or apprehension, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Zacchini is facing charges for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana
