Road work in downtown Mayfield extended

A one-lane restriction on US 45 in downtown Mayfield has been extended because of weather delays.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is installing new drop boxes and pipes along the divided highway of US 45 between South 9th Street and West Water Street.

The project is estimated to be completed by next Thursday, Jan. 2.
