A tip led to a Georgia fugitive's arrest on Friday morning in Paducah.

Police said they received a tip that 25-year-old Michael Martin, a fugitive from Georgia wanted for shooting another man, was staying at a local hotel.

Police learned that Martin had three outstanding warrants, including one for trafficking cocaine and marijuana, and aggravated assault with a weapon.

Martin was arrested at the hotel, charged as a fugitive from justice. He was booked into the McCracken County Jail, awaiting extradition to Georgia.
