A Tennessee man was arrested Saturday night after fleeing from police in Murray.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said they were notified by Murray Police that a vehicle was refusing to stop for their officers near Main Street and 15th Street.

The suspect vehicle reportedly continued to flee after deputies arrived. The pursuit continued through multiple roads and fields, at times allegedly almost striking deputies.

The vehicle was stopped in the Canterbury subdivision and the driver taken into custody.

Multiple Calloway County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were said to be damaged in the course of the incident, but no one was injured.

It was found that the driver, 23-year-old Christian J. Allen, had a felony warrant issued by Henry County Tennessee.

Allen was charged with fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment, assault and various traffic violations.
