A plane crash in West Tennessee claimed the life of a local pilot on Tuiesday.

The crash involved a crop-dusting plane and it went just south of Martin.

The pilot was identified in a statement from the chairman of Everett-Stewart Regional Airport, Wayne McCreight. McCreight said the pilot was longtime airport board member Scott Wayne Rainey. Rainey was described as an aviator and an agriculture pilot with experience as a crop duster.

The crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA.
