A Tennessee man was arrested Wednesday evening after a pursuit on I-24 through Lyon, Livingston, Marshall, and McCracken counties.
According to Kentucky State Police, just before 6:30 pm, a vehicle was observed traveling westbound in Lyon County in excess of 100 miles per hour.
Emergency equipment was activated by a KSP trooper to try and stop the vehicle, but it continued to flee.
After entering McCracken County, a tire deflation device was used, and the vehicle stopped near the 17 mile marker.
The driver, 29-year-old Evin Rion, of Lebanon, TN, did not cooperate and showed erratic behavior.
Utilizing an armored vehicle from the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, troopers were able to safely take Rion into custody without further incident.
He was suspected to be intoxicated, and was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation, where he remains receiving treatment.
Rion was charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, DUI second offense, and numerous other traffic offenses.
