McCracken County Attorney Foster launches Casey's Law awareness campaign

McCracken County Attorney Cade Foster announced Tuesday the McCracken County Attorney's Office has launched a public awareness campaign about Casey's Law.

Casey's Law is a way to have someone court ordered to drug or alcohol treatment when they refuse to see their need for help.

Casey's Law has been in effect in Kentucky since 2019.  Foster said in McCracken County, his office performs about 10-15 Casey's Law proceedings annually.  

He is hopeful in the next year to triple the number of people that get into treatment.  Anyone who wants more information on Casey's Law can call the McCracken County Attorney's Office at 270-444-4709.
