A tip from the public led to the arrest of a wanted Mccracken County man on Thursday.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said someone spotted 52-year-old Carl D. Morton walking along Irvin Cobb Drive. The call, at about 6:25 a.m. Thursday, prompted McCracken County deputies and Paducah Police to cover the area. Morton was located and arrested.
Morton was served with a Parole Violation warrant that stemmed from several felonies including theft, burglary, criminal mischief, fleeing or evading police, absconding parole, failure to complete the halfway house program, and failure to abide by electronic monitor.
Morton was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public help in locating 52-year-old Carl D. Morton of McCracken County.
Morton is wanted on a parole violation warrant stemming from several felony warrants.
He is a white male, 5' 8" weighing between 180-200 pounds with gray hear, blue eyes and last seen with a gray beard.
Morton was last known to be on foot wearing a long sleeve red t-shirt, dark blue jeans and carryiing a blue backpack.
He was last seen near Mercy Lourdes Hospital and I-24, and was also recently in the Ballard County area near Monkey's Eyebrow.
Anyone with information or the whereabouts of Carl D. Morton is asked to contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Office.
