TVA to remove overhead transmission line on US 62 in Marshall County Sunday

The Tennessee Valley Authority is planning a nighttime lane closure on US 62 in Marshall County near Truck Plaza Lane on Sunday morning to take down a 161-kV overhead transmission line.

Between the hours of 4 and 7 a.m., eastbound traffic on U.S. 62 will be reduced to one lane from beneath the I-24 overpass to just before Truck Plaza Lane.

To safely complete the work, traffic on US 62 will be blocked for about 15 minutes as the old power lines are removed.
