A Cuba man was rescued Wednesday morning after being trapped inside a grain bin.
Kentucky State Police received a call that 68-year-old WIll Bell was trapped inside the grain bin on his farm on Elmos Road. Bell became trapped when a load of soybeans shifted.
Farmers tried to remove him from the bin but were unsuccessful.
The Cuba Fire Department used a Turtle Tub Grain Bin system to remove Bell from the bin. It took about an hour to get Bell out of the bin.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and observation.
The rescue system had been donated to the fire department by the Graves County Farm Bureau in 2023. Donations were also made to local volunteer fire departments.
