A Sunday afternoon crash along I-24 in McCracken County sent one person to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at about 2:35 p.m. on the eastbound side of the interstate near the 14-mile marker. Deputies determined that an SUV driven by Stacey Boddy of Benton and a car driven by Guy Truex of Clarksville were driving side-by-side when they collided. The contact between the two vehicles sent both into the cable barrier in the median.

Truex was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

The crash and cleanup had the interstate down to one lane eastbound for about two hours.
