Paducah Police investigated a crash on I-24 Saturday that snarled traffic for hours.
Officers shut the interstate down at exit 7 for a multi-vehicle crash with what were initially described as serious injuries. Sources indicated to West Kentucky Star that a motorcycle was one of the vehicles involved. Paducah Police sent out the collision reconstruction unit to investigate the crash. Traffic was diverted for several hours onto Jack Paxton Drive before rejoining I-24 from Lone Oak Road. The road reopened at about 7 p.m. Saturday.
An update on the investigation is expected early this week.
