Eric Straub was recently introduced as the newest addition to the Paducah Junior College Board of Trustees.
"I am very honored, and I appreciate this opportunity to serve. Among some of the things I hold as vitally important and meaningful are community, education and opportunities. This service opportunity allows for the furtherance and advocacy of all three to benefit the place that means so much to me and my family - Paducah," said Straub.
"I look forward to working alongside the talented and influential community leaders in carrying out the mission of PJC."
The PJC Board of Trustees is composed of 15 members appointed on a rotating basis by the Mayor of Paducah and the Judge Executive of McCracken County.
Straub is a partner with the law firm of Whitlow, Roberts, Houston & Straub, PLLC.
He has been recognized by Super Lawyers' Rising Stars, consecutively from 2020-2024. Straub earned a bachelor of science degree in socio-political communication from Missouri State University (Springfield, MO) in 2014, with an undergraduate certificate in conflict and dispute resolution.
He earned his juris doctorate from the J. David Rosenburg University of Kentucky College of Law in 2017.
A Paducah native and Heath High School graduate, Straub is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Paducah and has served on the Paducah Young Professionals steering committee and the American Cancer Society Dancing with our Stars committee, participating and being named co-champion in 2019.
He is the President-Elect of the McCracken County Bar Association and participates in the United Way of Paducah PALS program.
Straub was honored with the 2022 Western Kentucky Young Leader Award presented by the Four Rivers Business Journal, and the 2023 Young Professional Award by the J. David Rosenberg University of Kentucky College of Law and a Duke of Paducah in 2023.
