The City of Paducah said Tuesday that a stormwater pipe recently collapsed in a parking lot off James-Sanders Boulevard.

They said the 96-inch, 41-year-old pipe partially collapsed in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby and Tuesday Morning. The pipe carries stormwater from the Olivet Church Rd. and mall area.

In 2019, a section of the same pipe partially collapsed in the parking lot of the former Toys-R-US.

Even though the parking lot is on private property, the city said Paducah's Engineering Department is working with the property owners in the area since the pipe is a critical piece of infrastructure.
