A potential threat was investigated Monday at Marshall County High School.

The district sent out emails, texts, and phone calls to parents to alert them to the possible threat that was reported. The message said that the administration at the high school, along with law enforcement, investigated the report. They determined that there was no danger.

However, out of an abundance of caution, there will be additional law enforcement present on campus, today.

Statement from Marshall County Schools on Monday afternoon:

FROM: MC Schools:
The administration at Marshall County High School was alerted to a potential threat this afternoon. Administrators and law enforcement conducted an investigation and concluded that there was never any danger. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. As a result, there will be an increased presence of law enforcement at the start of school on Tuesday.
