Storms that rolled through the area as part of the first round produced damage in Eddyville.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said they had been called out for damage to an RV, some power lines taken down, and a roof lifted off a building. The roof damage was to a building on Main Street. Some of the roof debris ended up on the courthouse lawn.
The Lyon County Judge Executive’s Office said that several streets, including West Dale Avenue, West Main Street, and Trade Avenue, are closed because of damage to other structures and debris. They said that volunteers were not needed, and “for the safety of everyone and record keeping, we are unable to move anything at this time.”
The City of Eddyville announced on Thursday night that due to the damage in the area, City Hall would be closed on Friday. Venture River will also be closed Friday due to storm damage. Eddyville Family Medical, a part of the Livingston Hospital system, also suffered damage. They are asking patients with appointments to call Livingston Hospital or the Grand Lakes Clinic in Grand Rivers to reschedule.
